A Grip on the Gospel by Alistair Begg

The beauty of the Gospel rests in its simplicity: Christ, in His death, completed everything in relationship to sin and Satan. Because of His atonement, our Christian lives are a process of becoming what we already are—namely, His children. In this sermon from Hebrews, Alistair Begg notes that while Satan delights in reminding us of sin, God keeps no record of it because of Christ’s work. Instead, He calls us to be a compelling reflection of His grace.

Sunday Message For Christians with Alistair Begg

Being “born again” to new life in Christ is not a matter of acquiring a new religious identity. Instead, it’s about being adopted into a new family—a family that has a rightful claim on your life. Alistair Begg points out that it is a believer’s responsibility to actively resist sin, guided and empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit. As we obey the Spirit’s leading to live in a way that pleases our Father, we give evidence that we belong to Christ.
