For some time now we have heard rumblings about Google limiting search
results to liberal ideals, recent censorship of videos on YouTube, and
now Facebook censoring posts by conservatives. One has to wonder how
much of our speech is actually free today? The First Amendment grants
us, as citizens of the United States of America, a right to free speech.
Unfortunately, that freedom is becoming an endangered species. Some
colleges have refused to allow conservative speakers to hold a
conference on their campus. Professors have berated any who have an
opposing view to their liberal ideals. Now, state lawmakers in
California have introduced legislation to criminalize speech on the
internet. How far will this egregious violation of our Constitutional
