It would be nice when preparing for the episode if James and Evan did the minimum of research for their little show!
They joke about the dog shit, and pose the question of how can the dog's poop be linked to the DNA?, if they had looked at the source of their story: The appartment complex has as part of the lease that you must provide a poop sample for all dogs.
That's all the research it takes, but that's too much for these two seasoned researchers.
